Opinions are a Dangerous thing: Art StylesThis isn't about narking on anyone no, infact this is just my own muses really! You could say this is a journal for ENCOURAGEMENT! *SHINES*
I find sticking to one style restrictive if you are a beginning/moderate artist! (even professionals I might say! though I can't speak for everyone)
Having a distinctive look on how your art is done and produced is understandable and its a desire to appear unique to the point some one can just SEE your work and instantly think 'Oh! that's Ten-days!' or something along the line. However, when you are trying to find who you are and what kind of art you are to produce, I recommend trying, well, a lot of different things! Different styles, mixing styles, different colouring techinque, brushes, tools, shading. Don't feel dependant on what you are already doing and don't feel pressured by people just for trying new things!
Push out of your comfort zone. Can't draw hands? don't avoid it! draw the heck out of them! (how else are you going to learn?)

Eurovision nightGot myself some ice cream and will be making myself compfy on the sofa so I'm ready for the big, glittery, horrible music, camp, pointless politics, drama that is eurovision. It never disappoints me.

Nintendo STEALS Money!Since this has been going around lately, I should probably give my two cents. Basically what it amounts to is that Nintendo has filed Content ID info of their games with YouTube. What this means is that if you upload gameplay video of a Nintendo game, YouTube will automatically monetize that video, put ads on it, a link to where to buy the game, and take the money generated from that video and give it directly to Nintendo. People who do "let's play" videos are, naturally, pissed off because they want to be earning money off their videos, so they're calling Nintendo "thieves" for doing this.
I can see both sides to the story. I can see Nintendo as a corporation wanting to exercise control over their properties. On the other hand, "let's play" videos can often help new gamers find games they otherwise wouldn't have tried.
But here's the thing: Nintendo isn't the first company do this. Both Microsoft and Ubisoft do it already. YouTube has also had a long history of having music videos and

I can't stand this. This site has really gotten down on my last nerve. Not because of the site itself but because of the people on it. And by the people, I mean the art thieves.

STOP IT. HOW DARE YOU STEAL OTHER PEOPLE'S ART THAT THEY WORKED SO HARD ON?! IT'S WRONG AND NOT COOL.

I swear to god, I absolutely despise it. I've had it done to me myself. It needs to stop. So people, if you could, report someone when a picture doesn't look like the rest of a person's gallery. You need to make sure first though. If you're unsure about a picture, use this site [link] to help find the original source. Most of the time, it works. And if you don't know, ask. Don't let this shit keep happening. I know it's not your fault but we can all help prevent it.

I just.. I HATE art theft. It's the worst thing in the world.

What's the point of that? I mean, if you like someone's art or something, practice enough at drawing until you can beat their art?
I think deviantart should make it easier to report art theft. If you look for the 'Report Deviation' button... It's almost impossible to find the button itself!
Hope those people who stole your art have the art taken down... (don't be too mean though, maybe they just love your art. If they bitch to your about you 'stealing' their 'art', haha, then you can definitely get pissed.)
